The Chaos-Knight Journal

"The journal of one who is walking in the Realm of Men, yet always facing towards the Realm of Heaven and Glory
Of a Knight who follows the path of what is true, living in the hope of a salvation by grace alone and not by works
Living not by fear of men, but by fear of God, setting his sights not on the earth, but on the things which are above"

UCL: Chelsea and Liverpool in Group G

Chelsea out of the pot

Another twist of the UEFA Champions League 2005/2006 appeared yesterday when Chelsea and Liverpool are both drawn into Group G of the tournament. Since there is no country protection for Liverpool, it was inevitable that Liverpool would meet another English team, but to meet Chelsea again at such an early stage is the most interesting outcome it can be. The other smaller twist came from Group D, where Manchester United meet Villareal. It would be a perfect stage for Diego Forlan to make his revenge against Manchester United, the club who sold him and deemed him useless before he moved to Villareal and gained success there.

On the English Premier League, Chelsea’s 4-0 win against West Brom brought them to top of the league right now, with a perfect 9 points to date and 6 goals difference (6-0) to boot. Arsenal made a comeback after their loss to Chelsea with a 4-1 hammering against Fulham. Coincidentally, both of Arsenal’s and Chelsea’s main man, Thierry Henry and Frank Lampard respectively, scored two goals each in those matches. Right now Henry’s leading the top scorer ranks with three goals from three matches.

The UEFA Champions League group stage will start on September 13, so don’t miss it.
