A bad occurence has happened to me during the last week. On Thursday, two men disguised as Air Conditioner technicians entered my room - pretending to be fixing the AC - and took my Sony Ericsson S700i, my Titanium G-Shock watch and my brother’s gold watch. The loss was about 6.5 to 7.5 million rupiah in terms of money, but the loss of my phone book contacts brought greater impact for my daily activities.

And to think again about it, it happened in the day where I should be ministering with my choir (and along with other choirs to form a united choir of 600+ people) in Stephen Tong’s Surabaya 2005 Crusade, located at Supermall Convention Centre. God be praised, I did not lose my spirit or strength, but furthermore I was strengthened and energized, and I became more eager to sing that afternoon (to think that actually the day before I was quite lazy). In the end, I managed to serve during Thursday and Friday quite well, and I was quite satisfied. God wiped away all the sadness and anger from me, and I can live on my life like it was before, only now without my cellphone and my watch. I still have my old number because Indosat replaced my SIM card, but for now I have to use my brother’s old Nokia 6100.

I don’t think I will be getting a replacement soon, so I have to be content with what I have, but frankly I am hoping that one day I can buy that black Sony Ericsson K750i (I’m always in love with black cellphones). It is definitely not going to happen soon, maybe have to wait until next year, so until the time comes, I’ll just keep wishing.

Concerning Death Note 77
TOWNL released their Death Note Page 77 Scanlation right after I released mine, so I will not post mine in respect of their release. In the future, if they do not release their Scanlation quickly, I will do my scanlation and think of it as a “Quick Release” version for the fans’ reading sake, because I know the quality of my scanlation can never match theirs, with my scanlation team only being a team of two. I don’t know if I will scanlate Page 78 now that the RAW and translation is out, but hopefully TOWNL will be releasing theirs soon.

Page 76: Greeting

Blue Chaos Scanlations presents you Page 76 of Death Note. The story is getting interesting and the plot twist is strong in this one. Near’s SPK was dissolved by the vice-president, but they are still conducting their Kira investigation secretly. Meanwhile, Near pointed out that Mello is likely to contact one of the team and he will share what informations he has with Mello, especially about the possibility of the Second Kira (which is Light) being Kira. Then he pointed out that among the four man team, it is most likely that Mello will contact Hal Ridner, the only female member of Near’s team. In the end of the chapter, Hal brought Mello to Near’s headquarters and for the first time after some long years, Mello stands face-to-face with Near.

The most interesting thing in this chapter is Mello’s new appearance. Light made a point that Mello couldn’t have survived the explosion without any injuries, and yes he has been injured. But with a scar in his face an a “Kingdom Hearts II”-like jacket, he looks very badass now and for me he has become my no.1 personal favourite, dropping Ryuuzaki to spot no.2. Hal Ridner has also become my no.1 female character here. Her appeal is far more than Misa (Sayu and the others don’t even count). Especially after you see her “special” page on page 17, just who can resist a lingering eye like that? I hope this character won’t get killed soon. This character can prove to be a kind of… ahem, “fan service”… for the male readers, if you know what I mean…

Page 75: Recognition

Right now I am working with some RAW cleaners and translators to provide the latest Death Note scanlations under the name “Blue Chaos Scanlations”. These scanlations are the work of at least three people. The RAW cleaner - the one who cleans the RAW, erase the original Japanese text and make the pages look better. The translator - the one who translates the original Japanese in the RAW to English. And the typesetter - who puts in all the translated texts in their respective speech bubbles and boxes.

For this Page 75 Release, I am the typesetter (and I will still be for future releases), Naiujiro - who provided us with decent HQ releases in the past - as the cleaner, and Rei/Chikubi from TOWNL as the translators. Thank you for all of them, now the Page 75 has been released and can be downloaded here.

This chapter follows the story after Light’s team managed to get the note back at the cost of Yagami Soichiro’s life. The U.S. made an important statement where their vice-president announced that they will not go against Kira. Matsuda even doubted if Kira is really evil, because crime and war have vanished since Kira appeared. And finally Light made a point that now, the battle is not against just Kira, but against the world, since the world is behind Kira now, even the largest country in the world have bent over and submitted to Kira. So now it’s the world, not just Kira. Try to stop it, if you can! (Also in this chapter, we can see that Near is getting more and more like Ryuuzaki, speaking in those manners of percentages and all).

New Template
I have decided to change the template due to popular request. Many people felt that the old template was too dark, too “Solaris”, and the Mars Spirit text on the upper right section of the header was uncool. When I created this blog, among the list of templates there were two that caught my eyes, this one and the previous one. It was hard to decide between them, but in the end I chose the old one because the layout for the comments was cooler than this one. The old one had boxes, while this one only use a plain numbered list. I can change the template to use a boxed layout, but since it’s not too easy, I decided to stick with the current layout instead. This template is cleaner, easier to read, and more artistic. I hope that I won’t have to change the layout again soon.

New Poll Feature
Check the right-hand side of the page, and you will find the new poll feature above the Google AdSense box. It is just for fun really, but I would like to see people voting in there from time to time. Actually I wanted to use a Flash Poll, like this one, but I can’t find a decent free one on the Net. The free ones absolutely suck, and despite the fact that I can afford $29.95 per year for this, since I use it only for fun, I don’t think it’s worth it. So in the end I decided to use Bravenet’s Mini Poll. It’s free, and it’s better than the rest of the free ones, although it is not a Flash Poll. For the first poll, is a poll for the English Premier League Matchday 2 Winner. I know Adjie will vote for Arsenal, but if there are not so many people voting, then it will be no fun.

Say, since I’ve done with the template and added the poll function, what other functions do you want to see in this blog? Leave me a comment and I will see if your suggestion can be implemented here. Just don’t ask for things you don’t need or things you can find someplace else such as flash games and the sort. I also realized that this is my first blog that is made without any music in it, but this is also due to some requests that said the presence of music on my old blogs were annoying, especially if they can’t turn it on and off at will. I will try to create something that can do that. If you’re using Firefox, then you can play and pause the music at will due to Quicktime plug-in installed (you need to install it first if you want to hear anything). But if you’re using Internet Explorer and the clones (such as Avant Browser and Maxthon) then you can’t do that, unless I turn on the option to make the Windows Media Player controls visible.
